Avery Sunshine
Avery Sunshine is an enigmatic musician, singer and actor. The singer combines soul gospel jazz with R&B to create a unique mixture. She has performed on Broadway and at the Democratic National Convention and in the European clubs and festivals. Sunshine can be described as Denise White. Though she's located in Atlanta however, her roots lie in Chester Pennsylvania. There she first began to develop a musical career singing and playing the piano in a church. Following her graduation from Spellman College, Atlanta she embarked on her journey of music in Atlanta's R&B musical scene. The Fighting Temptations The first single featuring her voice was Stalk You which was a house 12-inch released only in Japan; it has since been remixed by a variety of producers and has become a staple of her live sets. Also, she contributed to The Fighting Temptations soundtrack. She was named the primary keyboardist in Tyler Perry's stage play Meet the Browns in 2005. Jennifer Holliday was the Grammy and Tony Award winner who approached her in 2007 for a position as the director of chorus for Dreamgirls which was a stage production of Atlanta's National Black Arts Festival. Sunshine gained attention throughout the four performances during the The 2008 Democratic National Convention. Sunshine sang during Barack Obama's Inauguration in 2009.
