Aisha Jamila Hinds, an American actor who is most well famous for her performances in TV series The Shield and True Blood. Since her debut in 2003, she has shown her range in acting providing outstanding performances on television series like 9-1-1 Detroit 1--8-7 and Under the Dome. Her role as a character in Assault on Precinct 13 from 2005 was the first to catch her attention. She was first recognized for her role in the biographical documentary All the Way. Hind also received high praises for her role as Harriet Tubman in WGN America's historical drama Underground. She currently stars on the procedural drama series 9-1-1 in the leading role of firefighter/paramedic Henrietta Hen Wilson. The series was renewed for its third series by 20th Century Fox Television. Hind finished filming on the Hollywood movie Godzilla: King of the Monsters which is scheduled for release by the mid-year of 2019. Her father Krishnaraj passed away in March of 2017 after a lengthy stint as a scientist in India's Army. Vrinda, her mother is a domestic worker. She starred in two celebrated parts: Iruvar and Aur pyaar hogaia. The two films challenged the traditional model that defined Bollywood movies at the time, and pushed Bachchan into the front of the New Bollywood. Bachchan's heartbreaking portrayal of Paro, the lover who was jilted by her lover in Devdas (2002) which was one of the most well-known Bollywood films at the time and first shown at Cannes Film Festival cemented her as the queen of Bollywood. After that, she was rewarded with high praise for her role as Chokher Bali (2003) a tense drama inspired by Rabindranath Tagore's book. She was the first Indian to serve on the jury of the Cannes Film Festival. Bachchan was featured in Gurinder Chedha's Bride and Prejudice. This ballet and musical adaptation of Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice is directed by Gurinder. The beauty and star power of Bachchan made her the perfect choice for the first English-language major film. Following the release of Provoked: A True Story in English, she went back to Bollywood and was a part of the film Dhoom: 2 (2007). Abhishek Bachchan was a frequent actor as well as the father of Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan. In April 2007, she married the actor. The marriage united two powerful Indian personalities.
