Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina Shevchenko is a Kyrgyzstani Muaythai fighter from Peru and a mixed martial arts artist who is a part of in the UFC at the flyweight division, is currently an Kyrgyzstani. She is also the older sister of an earlier UFC Flyweight champion and the fellow UFC competitor Valentina. Antonina Shevchenko first began fighting sports by becoming a Muay Thai kickboxer. Shevchenko made her debut at her first IFMA World Championship Tournament of 2003. Shevchenko defeated Suzane McKell in the finals by unanimous verdict. Antonina Shevchenko was awarded an additional medal in the year 2007 and a bronze medal in 2008, a gold medal in 2011 and was crowned the IFMA Amateur World MuayThai Champion in 2016. Antonia's professional career began in 2003. In 2012 she won her the WKC K-1 Light Welterweight World Championship, in 2016, the Lion Fight Lightweight Championship and in 2016, she won the WMC World Championships. Antonina was last seen fighting Isa Tidblad Keskikangas in The Phoenix Fighting Championship. The winner was a unanimous decision. Antonina Shychenko's first professional MMA debut came in 2002 at the KFK Championship in Kyrgystan in which she fought Anara Bayanova. She went 3-0, after winning in the second round TKO. The following two bouts came at WXF: X-Impact World Championships in 2003. Shevchenko dedicated herself to kickboxing as she took a prolonged time off from MMA. She came back in 2017, when she fought Anissa Hasdaoui. Shevchenko defeated Anissa with a unanimous vote before she fought Valerie Domergue in Phoenix FC 4. In 2018, she resigned from the competition and began competing in Dana White's Contender Series. Shevchenko took on Jaimelene Nievera in Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11, Antonina showed off her slashing skills by knocking out Nievera with knees. Antonina Shevchenko received a UFC contract following this win. Antonina Shychenko debuted for the UFC in the TUF Heavy Hitters finals against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko defeated Roxanne Modeafferi with an unanimous decision. She then lost her subsequent fight due to a split verdict. Antonina was able to bounce back from her loss, and won Lucie Prudilova at UFC on ESPN Covingtonvs. Lawler by submitting a rear naked choke. This was by far the most exciting fight of the night in the fight. Shevchenko lost 1-2 over the next three fights beating Ariane Lipski before losing to Katlyn Chookagian and Andrea Lee. Antonina has recently been lost to Casey O'Neill in UFC Fight Night Santos Walker.
